Hi! Maria here. Founder of this Feel Good Movement (TM) project.

I am a curious person and a life long accountant. I like me some numbers, data, research and facts before I can launch into an endeavor. Today I am looking into articles on research on Yoga and Mindfulness movement practices published in the National Library of Medicine. The search in the National Center for Biotechnology Information on "the effects of yoga on stress, anxiety, and depression" returned 12,020 PubMed Central publications and the results from 61 clinical trials. Turns out the medical profession and employers are looking for ways to reduce cost of meds and clinical treatments of stress, anxiety and mental health related diseases with the use of Yoga and mindfulness practices.

For example, https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23533465/, mentions that patients in a primary healthcare clinic were randomly assigned to two groups. One group received standard care and the other did yoga for an hour once a week for 12 weeks. Findings: " Patients assigned to the Yoga group showed significantly greater improvements on measures of general stress level (P < 0.000), anxiety (P < 0.019), and overall health status (P < 0.018) compared to controls. Treatment with medical yoga is effective in reducing levels of stress and anxiety in patients with stress-related symptoms in primary health care."

But everyone already knows (or has heard) about the positive effect of yoga and mindfulness practices on the psyche at this point. We are here to talk about happier workforce, any employer's main priority, if efficiency and smooth operations are key to financial and operational success. I hope the happy and healthy employees factor is a main focus in your organization, too.

Feel Good Movement (TM) offers short, fun, targeted practices to help health conscious employers increase efficiency, decrease turnover and overall health of organizations trusted in their care.
